Well,
the NaPoWriMo assignment for today involved writing a "pwoemrd." If you're as confused as I first was when I saw this genre title, you should now it's not as complicated as it sounds -- but it is more difficult to create than it would seem. A pwoemrd is a one-word poem. While this can be done by simply writing one word, it can also be created by combining two or more words into one word.
Here are my pwoemrds. See if you can figure out what words went in to creating themDifeaficultsyDepunressforiongivingLublucirryd

Okay, so those were a LOT of fun - but it's time to move on to the next assignment. At the Poetic Asides blog, the April 4 challenge was to write a poem about a type of person. The example used by Robert Lee Brewer was "The Poet." But any sort of "type" of person could be chosen. I chose...naturally...the philosopher.
The Philosopher
Curled up on a couch with a cat
She ponders whether we really know
whether our world is flat
Time ticks by, but what makes it go slow?
Is there a God and
Will he ever show?
How is it that lightning creates glass out of sand?
When does sea become land?
What is the point rain becomes snow?
Can we solve all problems with math?
When can we justify a war?
And just as she decides to draw a bath,
She's hit a paradox - can she ever reach the bathroom door?
